Christmas market 2026: the dates
For 2026, the City of Strasbourg has announced that the Christmas market will open on Friday 27 November and run until Thursday 24 December 2026. The chalets are spread over some ten squares of the Grande Île and the Neustadt, around Place Broglie, Place de la Cathédrale and Place Kléber, where the great Christmas tree stands.

Why come with a chauffeur
Throughout the market, the Grande Île is placed within a security perimeter: car traffic is very restricted and city-centre car parks quickly fill up, especially at weekends. Your chauffeur drops you off and picks you up at an authorised point, as close as possible to where you are going, at the agreed time.
It is also the answer for evenings out: dinner in a winstub, mulled wine at the market, then back to your hotel without driving.
